Find attached Mut Monitor Version 2.04
I have added the 2 byte reply for the custom commands so people that have done the 2 byte mod to their ECU's can test it and see if they get a reply.
I have not added the calculations, so you will get the raw replies.
The calculations below are take from Evoscan
Request ID's are
00 = ECU Load 0.3125 * Result
02 = RPM 1000 * Result /256
04 = Airflow 6.29 * Result /64
If I have got it right then will add option to main ECU monitoring Tab.
Cheers
Sean.

Hi, okay had 1/2 hr spare today so tried 2.04
Old version 1.x un-installed first.
I only get com ports 5 thru 9 on the drop down.
Tried with my 1.3 cable, and your cable also.
Worked with version 1.x (1.8 I think). But now nothing.
Tried EcuFlash - connects okay with the 1.3 cable but your cable does not connect with yours (Is it supposed to? - or is it for just MutMonitor?)
Cheers.

Hi mate
Beat ya Space Invaders score by the way
Sounds like either your cables are setup for high ports (beyond 10) or the ports are locked by another process.
In Device Manager what ports does it show when your Clanzer FTDI is plugged in and also when the OP1.3 is plugged in?
The Clanzer FTDI 232B cable will not work with ECUflash.
Might be worth a re-boot of your machine to clear the ports and try again.
Cheers
Sean.

Hi thief99
I am sure the Init reply for the Mut protocol should be the same for all vehicles that support it. I suppose it could be different but I have no way of testing that.
If it is meant to be the same then it does seem as the data that is being read back could be corrupt or it could be down to unicode problems again.
What are the regional settings on your computer?
Cheers
Sean.

Hi Sean
Don't worry about sending it back yet, looks like you'll still need it, are you going to Japfest? maybe we can exchange then?
Thanks

Hi could you change it to English and try again.
I think this could again be a Unicode problem.
Cheers
Sean.

Ok, so I must retarded because I tried downloading the zip file 2.0 and when i installed it i got "run time error 380, A script engine for the specified language can't be created" Am I doing something wrong here? also, a guy from vividracing.com who is helping tune my evo X said that some people have been having good luck with the MUT 1.5 and he sent me it. I tried it and while it did install fine, it didn't read my op2.0, after doing some reading i'm going to try and find which port my computer is reading it under and will see if it works. Is there any way of downgrading the firmware of my op2.0 to maybe make it work? thanks guys

Hi
Have you changed your Regional settings to English? as mentioned in this thread.
Also Make sure you download and install version 2.0 first
http://www.myrollingroad.com/attachm...5&d=1239571521
Then update the files by overwriting them with version 2.04
http://www.myrollingroad.com/attachm...8&d=1240062669
This should work with OP2.0
What Car are you trying it on.
Cheers
Sean.

First time I have heard of someone getting a runtime error 380 and doing a search on the web, it does seem to point to device drivers rather than the VB runtime modules.
One of those difficult ones to try and debug when I am not sitting at your computer
Have you tried it on another machine?
Also you did not answer to what car you were trying to Log on, if it is a EVO X then it will not work anyway as the Can Protocol has not been implemented yet
Cheers
Sean.

Hi Sean,
Before I start to play I have a couple of queries?
EVO VI with a Ralliart ECU.
Tactrix OP2.0 Rev D.
I also have an additional white block connector that plugs into the Tactrix and a connector next to the OBDII port. Do I need to plug this connector in for the Mut Monitor to work?
I will short pins 1 and 4 tomorrow night and test this lot out!
John.

well IT WORKS!
the most important bit was to connect pins 1 and 4 together.
a few lights flash on the dashboard (ABS prob not work)...
but it works.
if only i could get ECUFlash to work with the Tactrix OP2.0
Sean, are u going to develop this further? can i help?
John

Hi John
At the moment I just have not got time to take it any further.
I work away from home 5 days a week and struggle to find time to do all my hobby stuff.
I had a period off work from Dec- Feb and hence why the time to develop Mutmonitor and the test circuits.
Now I struggle to even play with the stuff myself. I also play with Magnets and replicating people that come along with perpetual motion/Free Energy claims and my other site http://www.overunity.org.uk takes up the spare time at the moment.
Also if truthfull, not had that much feedback on the MutMonitor software or cables I have designed and released. So do not know if the on going effort is worth it.
Thanks for the feedback though
Cheers
Sean.

I believe on pre-1996 versions only ALDL interface with 1953 baud rate is possible.

Thank you, acamus.
But.... I know about your posted links, and about software on there sites. I have 16 pin connector, no 14 pin!
The same car, like my car, scanned successfully by Chinese scanner Launch X-431 by this 16 pin connector!
Variations: I use Jeff Interface on a real COM port, no virtual. In logging of COM1 i'm find an error on changing baudrate!!! When i connect USB cable (chip ARK3116) from mobile phone, baudrate is changed, no error!
What can i connect a pinouts from Jeff interface (PC side) to pinouts from USB cable? All needed pinouts on cable enabled.
Thanks for all.
Sorry for my English, i'm Russian

Sorry I cannot help you more,
connector does not play any role in communication protocol IMHO.
