Could you check what chip inside? You still have to short pin 1 and 4?
Car - Carisma 96'
chip inside is FT232BM .
Will not chip (MC33290 ) or similar, and is full of transistors and optocouplers.
Pin 1 and 4 are shorter !

Made new interface yesterday. http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1002/usbbsch.png (didnt solder that L line part).
Still no good. Car goes to diagnostic mode with both of my interfaces now but mut monitor wont get that 4 byte answer and disconnects..
What kind of interface i need for 99 galant?

One Council

Download http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896644.aspx

and RUN it, to monitor communication between MUTMonitor and ECU.
So you will see what data returned from ECU.

P.S.
Мy proposal:
1.Try with Evoscan.
2.Make this scheme:

http://forums.openecu.org/download/f...6e280768ee9ae0

3.Try your scheme, if it works with another car!

L-line does not need you !!!
You need only K-line to contact ECU.
Look at my schedule which is based on pic18F458. There MC33290 connected and works perfectly.

Yes, mine is. Why?
2 months working on it a little, but I have no time to finish it completely. But this will happen soon
